FAQ
How it works
- What is Arc?
- Arc is the Layer 1 blockchain built by Circle. It runs the EVM and uses USDC as its native currency, so gas and mint payments are both settled in USDC.
- How do I add Arc to my wallet?
- Click Connect and approve the network prompt, or add it manually: chain ID 5042, RPC https://rpc.mainnet.arc.io, explorer https://explorer.arc.io. Currency symbol USDC.
- How much does it cost?
- 3 USDC per cat, paid in native USDC on Arc. You can mint up to 10 per transaction and 20 per wallet. Gas on Arc is a fraction of a cent.
- Where do I get USDC on Arc?
- Bridge USDC to Arc with Circle's CCTP or any bridge that supports Arc, or withdraw directly to Arc from an exchange that lists it.
- Are there royalties?
- The contract implements ERC2981 with a 5 percent royalty. Marketplaces that honour the standard pay it out automatically.
- Where does the art live?
- Images and metadata are pinned to IPFS. Each token also ships an SVG master so the ASCII grid scales to any size, including A4 and A3 print.
- Can I sell my cat here?
- Yes. Open your cat from Collection or the Market page, approve the market once, then list it at any price in USDC. The cat stays in your wallet until someone buys it, and you can update the price or cancel at any time.
- When can I sell my cat?
- Trading opens when all 1,200 cats are minted. Until then the market is closed, listings are hidden and buy and list actions are unavailable. You can still transfer your cat from your wallet like any ERC721.
- What fees does the market take?
- The market fee is currently 0. A 5 percent royalty goes to the collection on every sale, and the seller receives the rest. Buyers pay only the listed price plus gas.
